Vaccine Packaging Redesign
When documenting patient vaccines, nurses need four primary pieces of information: name, lot number, brand, and manufacturer.
Of this information, only one piece of information changes on a consistent basis, the lot number. This key piece of information is the primary means for tracking a vaccine if there is a recall. However, the lot number is often the hardest information to locate on current vaccine packaging. Because nurses sometimes overlook this information, tracking the error is difficult to do.
This redesign aims to make key information more easily accessible.
